Recycling at the Office
Making your office economically friendly is easy, rewarding,
and can save your company money. We hope the following tips will
help.
Purchase office paper, envelopes,
etc. that contain recycled materials
Make recycling bins accessible
to your staff. Place them near printers, copier, and where mail
is opened.
Make copies on both sides of
the paper.
Use remanufactured toner cartridges.
Proof read and spell check documents
before printing.
Print one hard copy to proof
read first before printing multiple copies.
Use shredded paper for packing
material.
Donate old furniture, books,
and magazines to charitable organizations rather than discard them.
Reuse styrofoam peanuts or drop
them off at your local pack and ship center so they can recycle
them.
Have your laser printers and
copiers professionally cleaned and serviced to reduce energy consumption,
ozone emissions, and the chance of breakdowns.
